Inside och outside bets
There are several different ways to bet in roulette and you divide the bets into inside and outside bets. The categories are named after the green carpet, the so-called layout. In the middle of the layout you see the numbers from 0 to 36 and around these there are six more boxes and a row below with 3-6 fields. This is standard for primarily roulette and what distinguishes a layout is, among other things, an extra double zero to play on. The double zero gives the house a higher chance of keeping its money. To place an inside bet, simply place your bet on one or more numbers that you want to bet on. You can play inside bets such as single, split, street, corner, trio or other combinations of numbers that are close to each other on the layout.
In roulette, a single gives 37 times the money. A split, that is, if you bet on two numbers, gives 17 times the money and street gives 11 back. The more numbers or larger combos you bet on, the lower the payback but your chances of winning increase. All these bets give double the money back but are also a much safer bet to make as you have close to a 50% chance of winning. In roulette, these odds weaken slightly because they have two green fields with two zeros instead of a green field as in roulette. At the bottom of the layout you will find some smaller fields where you can play on the first, second or third dozen numbers. These give odds of 2 against one and one payout on the bet plus double the money. This is a good odds with good chances of winning a significant amount.
